I was able to get Amp #2 working tonight. At first there was no sound, I only had the guitar leaning against the table. I then noticed the guitar's volume knob was at zero, DUH!
Amp #2 works. I'll still need to add some more stuff to it. The preamp circuit, the attenuation circuits and clean up the wiring a bit, but it's coming along nicely.
On the faceplate front I have the face plates mocked up in PowerPoint. I'll be submitting them in a few days.

- My Father had built a Knight Tube Amp HiFi kit prior to me being born. That was my introduction to the rich sounds that can eminate from a vacuum tubes. Growing up my friend Larry and I were addicted to our Radio-Shack 100-in-1 electronics kits. From there I progressed to build many electronic kits and guitar effects pedals. In College I studied electronics, computers, robotics and became an electronics technician for Nortel (13 years). I've always wanted to build a tube amp, and after getting in touch with my childhood friend Larry, that seed was replanted.
